Teaching, followed by several years in marketing and PR for my local library (serving a population of over 70k), instilled in me a passion for impactful communications, content creation, and the power of digital marketing to inspire positive action. I love working with people as much as I love working independently to strategize and design all manner of content on behalf of mission-driven organizations and non-profits with good-for-the-world goals in mind.
After earning my MFA in Screenwriting in 2018 (no regrets), I was invited back to my alma mater to teach storytelling in their distance learning program. I quickly and enthusiastically sharpened my skills in effective communication and instructional design, teaching courses such as "The Power of Story" and "Writing the Feature Film." Prior to teaching, I was honored to be recognized with a number of awards for screenwriting, including two consecutive Best Screenplay wins at San Francisco's NxtUP Fest. I wouldn’t learn until years later how much my passion for impactful storytelling would inform my eventual segue into a career in digital marketing and communications.
As a Webmaster and Social Media Specialist at Muncie Public Library, I have managed a wide range of digital marketing assets, developed editorial calendars, and created engaging content across marketing channels. My efforts have significantly improved communication, enhanced library event attendance, and driven organic website traffic growth through effective SEO strategies.
After several years enjoying city living in beautiful San Francisco, California, I moved back home to the midwest. I live in Muncie, Indiana with my dogs, no fewer than three guitars, and a pottery wheel.
